Prateek is a genre-bending film composer, record producer and guitar player from India via Oman whose artistry spans across many musical explorations.
From Star Wars’ The Mandalorian (Season 3), Star Wars' The Book of Boba Fett, Creed 3 (MGM) to SXSW-Winning, Venice Film Festival Official Selection Body of Mine, he has written and collaborated with artists like Lizzo, Joseph Shirley and Ludwig Göransson.
He is passionate about various genres of music, albeit through an artistic lens, and enjoys dabbling between the film, concert and music industries respectively. His death metal project Gutslit recently released their third record Carnal to critical acclaim, and he is co-writing and producing a record with a Stones Throw Records artist. In 2022, he was mentored by composer Derrick Skye, and his chamber piece Rub' al Khali was premiered by Salastina.
In his young career, Prateek has received accolades and recognition as an artist, and has been featured on Rolling Stone, VICE, Metal Injection and a multitude of popular media for his accomplishments.
He holds a M.M. from USC's prestigious Screen Scoring program and currently lives and works in Los Angeles.
